Office of Advocacy & Government Relations

The Office of Government Relations and Advocacy advances a two-way flow of information between the OHRA and government representatives at the city, county, state, federal levels of government. Acting as the primary liaison between OHRAand government offices, Government Relations advocates to promote the interests of disadvantaged people. By engaging across the Organization to develop an awareness of OHRA strengths, the government relations staff can successfully raise awareness of the OHRA's mission and lobby to secure support for programs and activities. 

Local Government Relations

Government Relations and Advocacy is the OHRA's liaison with the Anne Arundel and Baltimore County, serving as the organization's principal source of information on city and county governmental matters and the institutional point of contact for local governments.

Federal Relations

Government Relations and Advocacy has vocation of representing OHRA in Washington, D.C. By maintaining relationships with federal legislators, government agencies and administrative departments, Government Relations can communicate OHRA's priorities and work to influence change in policy or secure funding for programs and projects.

Lobbying and Expenses Disclosure

Lobbying is defined as total time spent, on behalf of the OHRA, on any and all efforts to influence legislative or administrative agency action. Where you may have engaged in activities defined as "Lobbying" at the local, state, or federal level, please follow instructions to report this effort.
